Lounge on the Farm update

Canterbury music festival Lounge on the Farm has been running since 2006, where a crowd was entertained by acts such as The View. Now in 2011 the event boasts one of its biggest line ups yet.

This year the British artist Ellie Goulding will headline with The Streets for the three day festival.
At a recent council meeting the event got official licensing from the city council.
The licence had originally been subject to a meeting on Thursday, April 28, but all objections were withdrawn after negotiations between the organisers and other parties. One of the organisers said: "After further negotiation and agreeing to certain council
requirements our license has now been granted for Lounge on the Farm 2011
and all the years to come."

Organisers have recently informed those who attending the limitations on bringing alcohol.
A one day ticket holder CANNOT bring any alcohol on to the site. Those with weekend tickets are allowed to bring a maximum of three litres of wine or 24 cans of beer, lager or cider. Organisers have urged people not to bring any beverages in glass.

The Merton Farm venue will hold over nine thousand festival goers from July 8.
